Alright! I’m going to do this! Others would be scared or wouldn’t do it out of greed, but I’m going to do it because I love you! I’m going to teach you how to change your life, your business and your whole existence.
In this new series of blog posts I will provide you with specific tips to release you of all the negative perceptions you have on marketing your work.
For today’s topic, the first thing we should talk about is Buffering.
Some of you might now this, some of you might be doing this already, others will have no idea what this is, and a smaller portion of you will think this is just a pure dream, but it’s not. It’s real and works wonders!
What is Buffering?
I came to understand the term buffering from the online webcomic community, in which they create several pieces of content (in this case comics) essentially a buffer of content, that will then be distributed through a long period of time, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year.
Why Buffer?
Because there’s no better way to do it. Do you plan on waking up every day and posting 1 piece of content on your website, your blog, your twitter, your facebook, your instagram, your tumblr, your youtube? No! That’s crazy. What if all you did today was eat pizza? Nothing interesting to share. What if you forget? Now you created inconsistency in your branding. What if you need to go on vacation? What will you do then?
It’s just crazy, so what do you do instead? You do like the good people over on webcomic land, and you sit your butt down on a Sunday and write every piece of content you need to have for the next week + 3 days. Then you schedule it using native apps, like the scheduling feature on wordpress or facebook, or you use a third-party app like http://buffer.com
Then you watch the magic happen, now every time you wake up you are 100% sure that a piece of relevant marketing will be out on your sites, and you’ll be in your fans direct attention. Enjoy your life with the knowledge that the work has been done and you can just relax now.
Or did you think I write a new blog post every day?
Try this strategy out and let us know how it works out for you in the comment section below.
With love,
